The Exchange Club of Brunswick and Stambaugh Aviation present the 11th annual Rodeo at the Beach. Gates will open at 6:00pm and rodeo starts at 7:30pm nightly. Professional participants from all across the country will compete in this IPRA sanctioned event. Bring the whole family out for a night of great entertainment. Great food from Brunswick Police Association, Famous Funnel Cakes, the Peanut Man and More! All proceeds from the Rodeo will help to fund the various community outreach programs of the Exchange Club. Thanks to our local community and business leaders for supporting this event! Tickets are $20 each and 5 and under are Free. Advanced Sale Tickets can be purchased now for $15. World class Rodeo talent will come from all over the globe to compete for points in this IPRA santioned event. This is the 9th year for the Rodeo at the Beach and the top professionals in Rodeo today know that this is one of the best event locations.

TEAM ROPING

Team roping is unique in that two cowboys work together for a shared time. The first cowboy, known as the “header”, ropes the steer either by the horns, around the neck, or “half head” which is one horn and the neck. After this catch is made, the header wraps his rope around the saddle horn, commonly known as dallying, and turns the steer in a wide arc to the left.

The second cowboy is known as the “heeler”. He trails along beside the steer until the header turns the steer, then moves in behind the steer and attempts to rope the back feet. If he only manages one hind foot, the team receives a five-second penalty. Time is stopped when both cowboys’ horses are facing each other.

CALF SCRAMBLE & GOLD RUSH

This is the time that all of the kids look forward to. At points during the Rodeo children will be called out to participate in the Calf Scramble (must sign up at the event) and the Gold Rush (Younger children will dig through hay to find treasure). Always the highlight of the show.
