Our Mission: Exchange, America's Service Club, is a group of men and women working together to make our communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities and its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse.
History: The Exchange Club of Brunswick, Georgia was chartered in 1946 and is an affiliate of The National Exchange Club.
Our 2 major fundraisers are the annual Brunswick Exchange Club Fair and the Rodeo at the Beach. The proceeds from the fair and rodeo support local charities and organizations whose primary focus is serving the needs children and youth. Because of your support the Exchange Club of Brunswick has donated over $1.0 million back into this community. The largest recipient is the Glynn County Schools' Benevolent Fund that provides funding for School Social Workers to help children and families in need. Other recipients include our local Boy's & Girl's Club, CASA, Shop With A Cop, CIA Sports Club, Cowboys and Roses and many others. The club also purchases 75-80 new bicycles for under-privileged children in our community each December.
The Exchange Club honors our local police and firefignters through The Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Awards and Firefighter of the Year Awards. We honor a Student of the Month from Brunswick High School and Glynn Academy and one student from each school receives a $1,000 scholarship and the title of Student of the Year. In our middle schools, we honor a student from each 8th grade team with the Young Citizenship Award that comes with a $100 award.
