With Miss Rodeo USA Megan Kelley on Sunday, March 30th

Enjoy a 90 minute ride along the beach of Sea Island. Ride will be lead by Miss Rodeo USA, Megan Kelley and the Staff of The Stables at Frederica. Ride will take place Sunday, March 30th at 1:00 pm. **Must be 10 years or older to participate. Raffle drawing will be held nightly during the annual Rodeo at the Beach. Winners will be notified immediately by phone. Should the winner be unable to participate an alternate will be chosen and notified. The proceeds from the Raffle and Rodeo help the Exchange Club of Brunswick support local charities and organizations whose primary focus is serving the needs of children and youth.

Tickets are $5 each - 4 chances to win
Ride will be Sunday, March 30th at 1:00 pM

Tickets will be on sale and available with each member of the Exchange Club. You can also stop by Floyd Motor Company, 4733 New Jesup Hwy, Brunswick GA to pick up a ticket. We will work on getting a ticket entry form posted to this site. You can message us on our facebook page or the contact button below.

TEAM ROPING

Team roping is unique in that two cowboys work together for a shared time. The first cowboy, known as the “header”, ropes the steer either by the horns, around the neck, or “half head” which is one horn and the neck. After this catch is made, the header wraps his rope around the saddle horn, commonly known as dallying, and turns the steer in a wide arc to the left.

The second cowboy is known as the “heeler”. He trails along beside the steer until the header turns the steer, then moves in behind the steer and attempts to rope the back feet. If he only manages one hind foot, the team receives a five-second penalty. Time is stopped when both cowboys’ horses are facing each other.

CALF SCRAMBLE & GOLD RUSH

This is the time that all of the kids look forward to. At points during the Rodeo children will be called out to participate in the Calf Scramble (must sign up at the event) and the Gold Rush (Younger children will dig through hay to find treasure). Always the highlight of the show.
